packing

Image
It has been a while since I have packed my suitcase. I have been very lucky to have seen some amazing places over the last year and my trusty little black suitcase has been my great companion. It is not as lovely as these beauties by Patricio , a great photographer and all around pretty neat fella - however it is filled with good memories of various people and places that it has taken me to see.

It was like walking into the past this afternoon. While riding home I saw these kick ass dancers bopping around the Strøget. It made me want a glass of champagne to instantly appear in my hand and high heels to pop onto my feet. Very neat peeps!

super sweet

This apron makes me want to make cupcakes.

help! I am clumsy

Image
These packages are super cool. Clear, to the point packaging. Gorgeous! For a lady who often is scraping, bruising and generally bumping into things - these packages could bring a little class to the clumsiness.

let's go sailing...again

Image
This blog has wicked playlists and made my afternoon. The imagery of sailboats also makes me want to jump aboard and float away. The last time I was on a sailboat was over a year ago and living so close to so many has me yearning for some time on the water.

love.

I set my playlist this evening to play only songs with the word love somewhere in the info of the song. It was a neat little exercise to do while I washed and cut strawberries for my dinner. My loves for this week are perfectly hot cups of detox tea, Summerbird raspberry & chocolate covered almonds, sunshine, people that make me laugh...and giggle & the ship song by Nick Cave. The flowers that bloomed nicely for me all week, pretty much rocked my world as well.

a few of my favorite things

I am off to share some delicious libations with some of my favorite people. It has been such nice weather I have been spending quite a fair amount of time biking through town and strolling my afternoons away... Here are a few of my favorite places to go over a lazy Spring weekend. The following shots are of my favorite walking path by the Opera House, the Church I like to sit quietly in, the bike trail up the coast - where I say hello to Sweden, and of course my favorite flower shop.

well said.

What a great touch to these already stunning invitations . "The polished presence of your sincere self and guest of favor" to celebrate with "libations, and victuals" Nicely done.

the finest

Some days are big and some days are small. April 15th is a big and wonderful day. On occasion it is the company, the location, the conversation, the candlelight, the daylight or the occasion itself that make champagne so delicious. I am taking today on with some Davis inspiration.... "There comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne." - Bette Davis

I am a new term!

lyns-ism. Meaning: anticipating a challenging day, so silk it is. I read this today by my Scandi girl Hanna, what a nice description .

Are you effing kidding me? This kid is fabulous, I love him. Olly Moss , if that is your real name even.

Mini Bar!

Image
Everything is always better in miniature, isn't it? This concept bar speaks to the petulant child in us all. A concierge, a key and slick glass cases fully stocked with wine, spirits and even food. Interior done by Concrete , pretty kick ass studio in the dammer. Mini Bar is of course in Amsterdam, a visit to the low lands is in order I think....

Brother where art thou?

Image
Wes, I of course love and am now intrigued by his brother Eric - who has been described as "meticulous and bespectacled". What a great description! Eric is the artist behind those whimsical drawings that dot the movies of Wes Anderson and make me giddy while I watch. This discovery explains SO much of why his films appear a certain way. I bet they had the coolest tree house in the world as kids..... On another film note, I have been trying to compile my top five favorite films....I keep flip flopping. One thing is known so far, men who are off step and have the initials WA seem to be tops in my books. Woody Allen & Wes Anderson, you guys simply rock.

the beautiful melancholy

Summerbird is my local sweet shop that I have been enjoying these days. I look past the fact that they make marzipan, as I still am not won over to it, in the slightest. I look to the dark chocolate and almonds, who could ask for more? Spring is starting to bloom and I hope to be kicking up my heels soon. I had the pleasure of a morning ride to work along the water, a truly wonderful way to start the day and end it remembering the wind and sun on my face. I will try and slow down tomorrow, if it is as nice as today and take some shots of my travels about town.

so styled

Spring is in the air today. The sun is shining, my coworkers are swaying to Sinatra whilst balloons float on their desks. No joke. These jewels in New York have a soft touch with food styling and simply awesome recipes to match. I want to cook them all! Perhaps spring will bring more actual cooking at the flat, instead of just dreaming about it.
