Lately days here seem to go from sunny at dawn through afternoon pink skies to cool grey evenings...

Most people I speak with are anxious to bite into 2012 with hopes of change, evolution and excitement – I am one of them. Ringing in the new year at Buvette, a local favorite, was pure joy. Not being so bleary eyed the next day, was the icing on the cake. The Muppets indulged my nostalgic nature and the cool New York day ignited my excitement of the coming year. Lists made, loved ones loved and clear headed we look in anticipation for what will come in the unfolding year.

Being a recent convert to bar seating, I am now starting to see communal tables pop up more often. Spotting one at Il Buco during a lazy holiday lunch, then again at Redfarm... a west village spot that served up some good food as well as a warm and cozy atmosphere one needs on a rainy New Years Day.
