delicious breakfast

A favorite meal to play with. Sweet or savory, I love it all. These little fella's should be in my future I think. Top them with some Chobani and I will be all set!

Oh Canada...

I like that my homeland has a puppy room to help stressed out students calm the hell down. Pressure can make a diamond, however stress can break it. Pressure is great, especially for some of us that indulge in procrastination - it forces us to focus and meet goals, but stress I feel creatives scattered thoughts, confusion and an overall decline in productivity. Pets are nice, even if just to visit.

garden of earthly delights!

It is too hot to spend time in the garden, but once it cools I am taking up post here to enjoy the season. To have a little haven to calm to soul that brings me simple delight — is simply delightful!

tiny treats

Back in the autumn chef Lele came knocking in the west village and filmed this cute little spot. I have been focusing on pasta this last year it seems as my favorite village spot I Sodi is what I look forward to indulging in when I fly back into NYC. Cacio e pepe is my obsession and it is no coincidence that I Sodi uses Garofolo spaghetti in her amazing rendition of the dish. A long summer bike ride finished with a bowl of pasta and a glass of Gavi - perfection.

Great work and nice article . Makes me fall just a bit more in love with New York. "New York is filled with positive thinking and people who want to accomplish something, which becomes the fabric of the city and creates an energy that’s palpable."

Happy 65th Dad!

The world is a better place because you are in it. Thanks for supporting, listening, encouraging and loving me — enjoy the sun, you deserve every glorious ray. Photos courtesy of your dear friend Ron, Sail with the tide

wine + food = good fortune.

This blog has been my forum to article my thoughts, views and references for future projects and ideas, and I have been neglecting it. One of my 2013 resolutions was to make time to pause and reflect. Moments of reflection help me to focus on the future and what I want to strive toward. Lately some experiences are pushing me towards new and sometime very frightening situations, but it is also exciting I suppose. Recognizing my good fortune is important. I've lost very important people and things in my journey, but gained others. This past weekend my toes were touching the ocean in the sunny south and I was breathing in my most favorite hot and humid air, this is good fortune. Learning more about food & wine, this is good fortune. My New Years fortune cookie read "You can't have everything, where would you put it all?" Ha!

Rose colored glasses

These exist, how is that possible? At times I feel as if I view the world through a rosy hue of my own making. When grey skies come and foggy days follow, it's nice to know that nature also treats us with beauty like this. Thanks for your gorgeous eye Steve

I swung in this beautiful environment last weekend at the Armory . Although I was there solo, the room quickly scooped me up into it's swoon. Little giggles and friends quietly sitting side by side allowed everyone to absorb the art. The concept was a truly interactive and a pleasure to experience.

Dimitri Shostakovich

I was recently introduced to this wonderful composer . Perhaps its the cold winter months, the hope to dance the Waltz one day in Vienna or exhaustion..but I am digging the rump-pomp-pomp of his music today. Also these angelic dresses , magical.

Serine environments are my thing. A place to allow your mind to fill in the blanks and your energy to flow around the room are enjoyable to me. If you must own something, love it, use it and enjoy it. The balance between the bare necessities and warmth is one I will forever be in search of. I feel there is a link between this balance and looking into unknown moments or new environments and making them as beautiful, interesting and memorable as possible. My mini mantra for 2013.. These hangers strike that balance well. Simple hangers, but when thought on in a new and interesting way become something bigger and more special than their simple function.

2012 farewell

I have been procrastinating, a big fault of mine. It's not the most spectacular weakness, but it is one that I do own up to and will forever try and chip away at. Resolutions are not really my thing, but I have made a few for 2013. Keeping it simple is a good way to actually keep these resolutions and the largest one I have promised to myself is to take time to reflect. This could work it's way into many aspects of my life; a slow sip of tea, a moment to appreciate my surroundings or taking a moment to scribble down five lines in my new five year journal at the days end. Keeping my options open has always agreed with me, so I am making broad resolutions that allow for interpretation. Some others include: Expose myself to more music, film, art and inspiring surroundings.  Travel more frequently. Balance financial accounts.  Increase yoga, running and cycling.  Control my environment.  Show loved ones that respect and support me how special and amazing...
